Here is an illustrated step by step tutorial on How to Install your Pc Tools Firewall Plus program.
Goto this page if you want to download PC Tools Firewall Plus installer.

As always, to avoid any error when installing a new program. You should close all unecessary opened windows application before proceeding.

First, Run the installer by double clicking the installation file.









Click Next on the newly opened window.

















Here you can choose the location where you want the program to be installed to. But it is recommended to use the default directory. Click NEXT.















For now, choose Normal User as the default firewall behavior (you can change this setting later if you need to) then click NEXT..















The program will start to install to your computer.














When finished installing the program. You should restart your computer to finish the installation process. Just click FINISH to reboot your computer.














After rebooting. You should see a new icon in the taskbar. Congrats your pc is now protected with PC Tools Firewall Plus..

Lets say I have a Super Top Secret Rar File and I want to hide it from prying eyes.

Heres what I do.

For this example I have this jpg image named Manny.jpg and a archive file named KristaRanillo.rar located on my C:\test directory.














Now I click START menu on windows, then choose RUN



















On the Run dialog window I typed CMD and then click OK.












On the Dos-Prompt window I goto my Test Directory that contains my supersecret rar file by typing CD C:\TEST

Now I type here COPY /B MANNY.JPG + KRISTARANILLO.RAR MYSUPERSECRET.JPG










My Test Folder now contains 3 files, my 2 original files (manny.jpg and kristaranillo.rar) and then Mysupersecret.jpg with embedded rar file.













Windows will treat this embedded jpg file like a normal jpeg file. You can preview it or double click it and you will only see the original image.

Now if Im already all alone with my computer and I want to extract my Supersecret rar file from the embeded jpg file. All I have to do is open my Winrar and then load my embeded jpg file (mysupersecret.jpg) and extract it from there.

LoL! Elevator Hacking

We all know The Press All The Floor Button trick to annoy people and make it stop and on all floors. Heres something new for you to try. This is also a great simple trick if you live or worked on high storey building with 30 or so floors and it sometimes takes a long time to go from floor to floor. Especially when theres lots of people getting on and off the elevator on each floor.


"Ok now, the only thing you need to do is press and hold down the close door button, and the floor you like to go to at the same time. "

This should skip all the floors that people want to get on and go straight to the floor that you like to get off on.  This will certainly piss off people on the floor you skipped, so keep on the look out for people climbing the staircase towards you heheh! And please! don't try this on hospitals.

Running PREDATOR for the first time

• Type the password of your choice in the "New Password" field. You will use it to unlock your session if you lose your USB key.
  You must enter at least 6 characters, letters, figures or signs. The password is case sensitive (uppercase and lowercase letters are different).
• Check that the drive letter displayed under "USB key drive" actually matches your flash drive or choose the correct letter from the dropdown list.

LoL! this is very cool.

PREDATOR locks your PC when you are away, even if your Windows session is still opened.
It uses a regular USB flash drive as an access control device, and works as follows:

• you insert the USB drive
• you run PREDATOR (autostart with Windows is possible)
• you do your work...
• when you're away from your PC, you simply remove the USB drive:
  once it is removed, the keyboard and mouse are disabled and the screen darkens
• when you return back to your PC, you put the USB flash drive in place:
  keyboard and mouse are immediately released, and the display is restored.

• PREDATOR records all security-related events in a log file: start, alarms, stop. By reading this log, you will know if intruders have tried to use your computer while you have been away.
• PREDATOR can replicate this log on your Twitter account, allowing you to remotely monitor all access-control activity on your PC.
• PREDATOR frequently changes the security codes recorded on your USB drive. If an intruder manages to copy your stick, this copy will not work because the codes on your own stick will have changed in the meantime.
• PREDATOR disables the Windows task manager when you unplug the USB drive. Nobody can stop it with Ctrl-Alt-Del.
• PREDATOR lets you regain control of your computer if you lose your stick: when you start the software for the first time, you set a password that will unlock your session if your USB drive is not available.
• PREDATOR can sound an audible alarm if somebody enters an invalid password.
• And finally, PREDATOR can protect several PCs with the same USB flash drive, e.g. your home and office computers.
